Kendall's recent book Calvin and English Calvinism to 1649. In being shown the weakness of Dr Kendall's case the reader is given a clear, well-reasoned account of the central themes of Puritan theology - the atonement of Christ, faith and assurance, and Christian conversion. The author demonstrates that Puritan theology is wholly consistent with Calvin's own position.
