Calvin and the Calvinists
Overview: The author has written this book because of the crucial theological and practical issues raised by the controversy, and the widespread publicity given to R. T. Kendall's recent book Calvin and English Calvinism to 1649. In being shown the weakness of Dr Kendall's case the reader is given a clear, well-reasoned account of the central themes of Puritan theology - the atonement of Christ, faith and assurance, and Christian conversion. The author demonstrates that Puritan theology is wholly consistent with Calvin's own position.
