Reformed Historical Theology, Volume 57 : Salvation by Faith - Faith, Covenant and the Order of Salvation in Thomas Goodwin (1600 - 1680)
Outline: Although faith takes a very significant place in the whole life of a believer, yet it is one of the topics that is widely neglected, or treated superficially, by theologians as well as by lay believers today. The author aims at exploring the nature of the Reformed doctrine of "salvation by faith through grace" by examining the interrelationship by the three most important concepts of Reformed soteriology, that is, faith, covenant, and the order of salvation (ordo salutis). There are numerous studies on each topic, but few have tried studying them synthetically as this study does.
