Outline: This is the first comprehensive study in English of the theology of the Swiss religious reformer, Huldrych Zwingli (1484 - 1531). It presents Zwingli primarily in his own light, while dealing with his relations with others, in particular the influence of Erasmus and Augustine, his independence of Luther, and some of the differences between Zwingli and Luther. It engages with the main secondary studies in German, French, and English.
