Church and Culture : Singapore Context
Outline: The relationship between faith and culture has been the subject of many studies. When Christ the eternal Word was made flesh 2000 years ago, he demonstrated his willingness to take this world seriously. The writers in this book were given full freedom to express themselves. Some of their proposals may sound tentative: other aspects of their analyses many appear radical. In matters of customs and culture, it is unavoidable that there will be areas where sincere Christians hold different views. But at one point the writers are all agreed: the need to 'enflesh' God's unchanging word in a changing world.
