Ugent Harvest : Partnership with the Church in Asia
Outline: Over ten years have elapsed since the China Inland Mission withdrew from the Chinese mainland in 1951. Since then the Mission, now known as the Overseas Missionary Fellowship, has extended its activities to Formosa, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaya, Thailand, Hongkong and Vietnam. Recently, Mr. Leslie Lyall visited all these fields, and Urgent Harvest is the result of his observations. The author, besides painting a broad picture of the spiritual needs and opportunities in East Asia, has described how new churches are formed and how they grow. The book is not only full of factual information, but also crowded with human interest in the shape of pen portraits of recent Asian converts. It is an invaluable handbook on the mission fields of the Orient.
