Heaven - What is it?
Outline : This book considers the metaphysical and spiritual implications of the teachings of the Bible regarding Heaven. Unlike many books on this great theme, it is not intended primarily as a books on this great theme, it is not intended primarily as a book of inspiration. Dr. Schilder examines his subject as a theologian and a searcher of facts, yet as the glorious picture unfolds the reader senses the awe of the writer and follows him reverent absorption to his climactic conclusions. Prof. Schilder, best known American readers for his outstanding books on the Passion of Christ (Christ in His Suffering, Christ on Trial, and Christ Crucified) is an outstanding Dutch theologian and leader in the Reformed circles of the Netherlands. In commenting on his Trilogy, the Union Seminary Review stated: "The author is a theologian, a psychologist, an exegete, and a student of prophecy. His style is characterized by beautiful imagery, scintillating epigrams, and a wealth of unusual and suggestive words." Heaven - What Is It? is a like product of the author's pen. He knows how to write well and express his thoughts clearly. Here is a book that may well become a classic contribution if a field where literature of such calibre and scope has long been lacking.
